Women’s Tennis Finishes Second Day of Eck Classic – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$Columbus, Ohio — The Ohio State women’s tennis team finished day two of the Eck Classic, held on the Notre Dame campus in Notre Dame, Ind. The tournament, which includes five singles flights and three doubles flights, will resume at 9 a.m. Sunday.%^$
%^$In Flight E singles, Taryn Bowen (So., Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) fell to Illinois State’s Brigette Zarazee in the semifinals. She will face Shelby Lipson in the third place match. Lindsay Williams (Fr., Beverly Hills, Mich./Birmingham Groves) lost to Marquette’s Eva Trujillo Herrera in three sets in the quarterfinals of Flight C. She then posted a win over Lara Vojnov of Wisconsin in consolation to advance to the fifth place match.%^$
%^$Sadhaf Pervez (So., Warren, N.J./Watchung Hills) posted two wins in Flight A consolation. She defeated Erica Quebe of Purdue in three sets in the first round and then beat Wisconsin’s Vanessa Rauh in the next round. In Flight B consolation, Laura Maloney (Sr., Barrington, Ill.) recorded two wins. She beat Illinois State’s Zana Friganovic in the first round and then Western Michigan’s Meaghan Colville in the second round. Katherine Martin (So., Kennewick, Wash./Kennewick) posted a win in Flight D consolation over Stephanie Matko of Depaul. She will face Teresa Gonzaga of Wisconsin for fifth place.%^$
