Track and Field’s Distance Runners Win Two Events at Billy Hayes Invite – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Five of Ohio State’s track and field members traveled to Bloomington, Ind., and competed in the 22nd Billy Hayes Invite at the Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex at Billy Hayes Track Saturday afternoon.
The Buckeyes ran in two events, the 800-meter run and the 1,500-meter run, and they won both.
Ian Connor (Jr., Lexington, Ohio/Northmor Local) placed first in the 1,500 run earning a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 3:43.90. Winning the 800 was Rob Myers (Fr., Rushville, Ohio/Fairfield Union), who earned a new personal record time of 1:49.51.
The rest of the track and field team competed in the Len Paddock Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan.
Friday, May 19 the Buckeyes travel to Iowa City, Iowa, for the Big Ten Championships.
