Ohio State Track and Field Represented at NCAA Indoor Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Four Ohio State Track and Field athletes have qualified to compete in the NCAA Championships on Saturday and Sunday, March 11-12 in Fayetteville, Ark. This will be the final meet of the 2000 indoor season.
Dominque Calloway (Sr., Aurora, Colo.) will compete in the 60-meter hurdles, Donica Merriman (Jr., Trotwood, Ohio) will compete in the 60-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash, Andrew Pierce (Jr., Yellow Springs, Ohio) will compete in the 400 and Ian Connor (Jr., Lexington, Ohio) will compete in the 5,000-meter run.
Calloway earned the provisional qualifying time of 8.24 in the 60 hurdles three times this season. Merriman earned an automatic qualifying time of 8.11 in the 60 hurdles and her fastest time in the 200 was 23.93. Pierce achieved an automatic qualifying time in the 400 (46.46) at the Big Ten Championships. Ian Connor provisionally qualified in the 5,000 with a time of 14:00.23.
The Buckeyes will begin their outdoor season at Arizona State in Tempe, Az. on March 17-18.
