COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s tennis player Kristy Dascoli (Jr., Bradenton, Fla.) is ranked No. 36 (tied) in the most recent rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Her ranking is the highest ever for a singles player in program history, topping her previous high of 39 set earlier this season.
Dascoli is currently 15-8 overall this season, including a mark of 5-1 at No. 1 singles this spring. She has a career singles record of 59-31 and is the first-ever Buckeye to earn back-to-back all-Big Ten honors. Dascoli was also the first OSU player to ever qualify for the NCAA singles tournament, a feat she has accomplished in each of the last two seasons.
The Buckeyes, ranked No. 33 in the nation, will face No. 15 Notre Dame in a neutral site match today at Laurel Hill Racquet Club in Toledo, Ohio.
