Schenkel Invite Up Next for Men’s Golf – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State Men’s Golf team shot (279-288-294=299) en route to a fifth place finish at the Matlock Invitational in Lakeland, Fla. OSU was led by Justin Collins (Fr., Ironton, Ohio), who shot ((73-72-73=218) and tied for ninth place. David Wagenseller (So., Wilmington, Ohio) was propelled to a tie for 16th place by a strong first two rounds. (73-69-78=220)). Ryan Dennis (So., Stow, Ohio) finished tied for 24th place (75-74-74=223)%^$
%^$Schenkel Invitational up Next
%^$The Buckeyes return to action March 25-26 at the Schenkel/E-Z GO Invitational in Statesboro, Ga. The Buckeyes look to build on the positive aspects from the Gator Invite. Like their first three Invitationals of the spring season, OSU will be the lone Northern representative. The Buckeyes will face some familiar competition in Statesboro.%^$
%^$Collins has Best Finish of Career
%^$Freshman Justin Collins’ 16th place finish in Lakeland was the best of his young career as a Buckeye. Collins’ previous top finish was in collegiate debut at the Northern Intercollegiate Invitational (Lafayette, Ind., Oct. 1-2) where he shot a (75-79-71=225) to tie for 15th place.%^$
%^$On the Road Again
%^$Following the Schenkel Invitational, OSU will travel to the Marshal Invitational (April 7-8) before hosting the 30th Kepler Intercollegiate Invitational (April 14-15). Following the Kepler Invite, OSU will stay in Ohio for the Firestone/Cobra Classic in Akron. (April 22-23). The Buckeyes will finish out April at the Fossum Invitational in Lansing, Mich. (April 29-30).
