Ohio State Softball Drops Another to No. 7 Louisiana State, 4-0 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State softball team fell, 4-0, to the No. 7th-ranked Louisiana State Tigers today in the championship game of the LSU Tiger Classic Tournament. The Buckeyes are now 3-2 overall, while the Tigers improve to 5-0 for the season.
The Tigers remained scoreless until the bottom of the third, when Stephanie Hastings slapped a single, scoring Dee Douglas. LSU posted three more runs in the fifth and sixth inning to shut out the Buckeyes.
The Tigers’ Britni Sneed improved to 2-0 for the season, posting a one hitter and striking out nine Buckeyes. Sophomore Kristi Martin took the loss to fall to 1-1 in tournament action.
The Buckeyes will next compete in the San Diego State Tournament, Feb. 17-20. Ohio State begins the first round of the tournament against host San Diego State on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
