Softball Gray Defeats Scarlet, 3-1 – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio–The Ohio State softball Gray team rallied in the sixth inning to tie up the Scarlet and Gray Championship Series with their 3-1 win over the Scarlet Buckeyes today at Buckeye Field.%^$
%^$In the first inning, Scarlet’s Chrissy Fowler (Utica, Ohio/Wright State) came home on a line drive by Sarah West (Jr., Galloway, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) up the right field line.%^$
%^$The game remained 1-0 until the bottom of the sixth when the Gray scored three runs to take the 3-1 lead. Kristi DeVries (Fr., Corona, Calif./Corona) scored on a double by Stacy Roth (Jr., Wauseon, Ohio/Wauseon). Jessica Peden came in to pinch run for Roth, and scored after an error by shortstop Elizabeth Kacsanek (So., Uniontown, Ohio/Green). Then, Breana Pozzi (Fr., Petaluma, Calif./Casa Grande) hit a double to left field to drive in Rogeanna Hottinger (So., Newark, Ohio/Newark) for the game-winning run.%^$
%^$The final game of the Scarlet and Gray Championship Series is tomorrow at Buckeye Field at 3 p.m. The game will round out the Ohio State softball fall exhibition season.%^$
