Dascoli Wins First-Round Match at All-American Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s tennis player Kristy Dascoli (Sr., Bradenton, Fla./Bradenton Academy) upset the No. 4 seed in the first round of the main draw at the Riviera Women’s All-American Championships, Oct. 19 in Pacific Palisades, Calif.%^$
%^$No. 33-ranked Dascoli defeated No. 6 (tied) Adria Engel of Arizona State in three sets (5-7, 6-3, 6-3) in the first round. Last season, Engel reached the final of the All-American tournament. Dascoli will face Stanford’s Keiko Tokuda, ranked No. 30, in the next round.%^$
%^$The No. 8-ranked duo of Dascoli and Monica Rincon (Jr., Lapeer, Mich./West) lost in the first round of the doubles main draw to Vlada Ulhirova and Janet Walker of Texas in three sets.%^$
%^$The Riviera Women’s All-American Championships is the second leg of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Grand Slam. The Grand Slam also includes the T.
