Women’s Tennis Completes Day Three of Eck Classic – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio– The Ohio State women’s tennis team wrapped up competition of the Eck Classic in Notre Dame, Ind., today. The tournament, held on the Notre Dame campus, consisted of five singles flights and three doubles flights.%^$
%^$Taryn Bowen (So., Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) placed third in Flight E singles after posting a win over Illinois State’s Shelby Lipson, 6-3, 7-5. In Flight C, Lindsay Williams (Fr., Beverly Hills, Mich./Birmingham Groves) placed fifth in her first collegiate tournament. She defeated Veronica Briseno Garcia of Marquette in three sets, 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-1. Katherine Martin (Kennewick, Wash./Kennewick) placed sixth in Flight D. She was defeated by Wisconsin’s Teresa Gonzaga, 6-3, 6-3.%^$
%^$The Buckeyes next compete when they travel to Bloomington, Ind. for the Indiana Invitational, Oct. 6-8.%^$
