Buckeyes Fall in Main Draw at Clay Court Tennis Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State tennis player Kristy Dascoli (Jr., Bradenton, Fla.) and the doubles team of Dascoli and Briana Harris (Jr., Bradenton, Fla.) lost in the first round of the main draw at the T. Rowe Price National Clay Court Championships at the Suburban Club of Baltimore County in Pikesville, Md.
Dascoli, ranked No. 50 in the country, lost her first round singles match to Andrea Piski of Auburn, 6-1, 6-1. She had advanced to the main draw after winning three matches in the qualifying rounds.
The No. 7-ranked doubles team of Dascoli and Harris, the fourth seed of the main draw, was defeated by South Alabama’s Jahnavi Parekh and Katja Kovac, 1-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Dascoli and the doubles tandem of Dascoli and Harris will compete in the consolation draw beginning Friday.
