Women Laxers Fall To Cornell – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team fell to Cornell Sunday, 10-8 in Baltimore, Md. The Buckeyes overall record now stands at 1-2.
The Buckeyes were led by sophomore Erin Andersen (So., Huntington, N.Y.), who tallied four goals. Kylee Reade (Fr., London, Ontario), Celeste Cianfrani (So., Telford, Penn.), Lauren Cochran (Fr., Coatesville, Penn.) and Laurie Rybak (Sr., Worthington, Ohio) each added one goal. After playing to a 7-7 halftime tie, Cornell scored three in the second half and held Ohio State to a season-low one goal in the second half.
Cornell was led by senior co-captain Marissa Perman who scored five goals. This was Cornells first win of the 1999 season.
The Buckeyes return home for a 1p.m., game Saturday, March 13 against Davidson at the Ohio State practice field.
