Women’s Lacrosse Loses For First Time This Season – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State womens lacrosse team fell to second-ranked North Carolina 19-5 Friday afternoon in a game played at Johns Hopkins University. The Buckeyes were able to keep the game close in the first half, trailing just 6-3 in the first half. UNC was able to take over on offense and took a 12-3 to the locker room. Ohio State was unable to mount a comeback in the second half as the Tar Heel defense would not bend allowing just two second half goals by the Buckeyes. Megan Mirick led OSU with 2 goals, and Celeste Cianfrani added a goal and an assist. Ohio State drops to 1-1 on the season and will face Cornell for the first time ever on Sunday at Johns Hopkins University.%^$
