Reece Named Big Ten Athlete of Week for Women’s Track – Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State hurdler Ayanna Reece (Sr., Bronx, N.Y.) has been named the Big Ten Athlete of the Week for women’s track. Reece won the 400 int. hurdles for the second week in a row against some of the best competition in the nation at the CocaCola Florida Relays this past weekend. Her time of 58.59 also qualified her provisionally for the NCAA Championships. The previous weekend, Reece won the 400 int. hurdles against several BIG EAST powerhouses at the Miami (Fla.) Hurricane Invitational, Ohio State’s first meet of the outdoor season.
Reece and the Buckeyes are back in action on April 9-10 when they return to Florida to compete in the Florida Invitational.
