Columbus, Ohio – Ohio State women’s swimmer Keryn Krynauw (Fr., Pietermaritzburg, South Africa) broke the school record for the 200 breaststroke over the weekend at the NCAA Championships in Champaign, Ill. Krynauw’s time of 2:15.47 placed her 17th overall, smashing the previous seven-year-old Buckeye best of 2:15.96. Georgia’s Kristy Kowal won the race in a time of 2:09.59. Krynauws finish was quite notable because of the extremely fast times turned in overall at the Championships in the race. The race was recorded as the fastest 200 breaststroke in NCAA history.
