Gophers Can’t Outsmart Buckeye Gymnasts – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State men’s gymnastics team had an easy time distancing itself from the University of Minnesota today, winning 226.1500-211.9250 in Minneapolis. Tim Elsner (Sr., Middletown, N.J.) won the floor exercise and took the all around title, while teammates Daren Lynch (So., Londonderry, N.H.) won on the still rings. Earnest Nelson (Fr., Rowlett, Texas) was a winner on the vault, Peter Landry (Sr., Lewiston, Maine) on the parallel bars and Doug Stibel (Sr., Canton, Mich.) on the horizontal bars.
The team will send Jamie Natalie (So, Hockessin, Del.) to the Winter Cup National in Las Vegas on Feb. 12 and has its next team meet against Oklahoma on Feb. 20 in St. John Arena at 7 p.m.
