Buckeyes Finish Ninth at Big Ten Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

Minnesota won its first Big Ten women’s swimming and diving championships placing first with 668 points this weekend at their home pool. Ohio State finished ninth with 189 points. Top finisher for the Buckeyes, was Keryn Krynauw (Fr., Pietermaritzburg, S.Africa) who finished third in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:17.01. The 400 medley relay of Ann Stephens, Heidi Hazen, Kristin Sander, and Tanya Brouillete finished tenth with season best time of 3:28.65. Krissy Sendrowski (Fr., Garden City, N.Y.) finished thirteenth in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:04.65 and Stephens (Jr., Cincinnati, Oh) finished fifteenth in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:03.77. The Buckeyes ended their season 8-5 overall and 1-1 in the Big Ten.
