Buckeyes Have Two Qualify Provisionally for NCAAs at Big Ten Championship – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State men’s indoor track and field team is tied for eighth after the first day of competition in the Big Ten Men’s Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin.
During a day filled with qualifying for the finals on Sunday, sophomore sensation Andrew Pierce (Yellow Springs, Ohio) qualified provisionally for the NCAA Championships in the 400 meter dash with a time of :47.05. Joe Crallie (Sr., East Sparta, Ohio) also qualified provisionally in the long jump with a fourth place finish for the day. In the 3000 meter run, David Gonzalez (Jr., Bolingbrook, Ill.) finished eighth (8:27.19), while teammate Christopher Hudik (Fr., Mogadore, Ohio) was 18th (8:52.40). The Buckeyes distance medley relay finished fourth.
