Oklahoma Dual Meet Next Up for Buckeyes – Ohio State Buckeyes

Jamie Natalie had a stellar weekend for the Buckeyes in Las Vegas at the Winter Cup Challenge. He was only one of two NCAA gymnasts to be selected to the prestigious USA National Team. Former Buckeye Blaine Wilson won the competition, while Natalie finished seventh. Head coach Miles Avery said, “I certainly think there could not have been a more spectacular accomplishment for a Big Ten athlete last week.” %^$

%^$The Buckeyes put their undefeated dual-meet record on the line during the upcoming weekend when they play host to Oklahoma. While Oklahoma is a perennially strong team, the Sooners will have to compensate for injuries to their top two gymnasts. %^$After this weekend of competition, the Buckeyes will host No. 1 ranked Penn State the following weekend in a coed meet at St. John Arena.%^$

%^$Ohio State has three gymnasts ranked in the top ten in the country for all around competition. Doug Stibel is seventh, Jamie Natalie eighth and Tim Elsner tenth. The trio has turned in consistent top marks throughout the season to achieve the rankings.
