Buckeyes Swimming and Diving Falls To Cincinnati – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team fell to Cincinnati Friday night, in their second meet of the season 171-127 at Laurence Hall Pool.
OSU took home four first place finishes, Heidi Hazen (Sr., Mentor, Ohio) was a double winner, capturing both the 50 freestyle (:24.97) and 100 butterfly (:57.45). Jericho Strausbaugh (So., Upper Arlington, Ohio) finished first in the 200 breaststroke (2:28.40) and diver Holly Underwood (So., Woodlands, Texas) captured the 3-meter diving event with 186.30 points.
UC’s Sofia Svensson (Jr., Eslov, Sweden) led the Bearcats with three first place finishes in the 200 butterfly, 200 breaststroke and 400 individual medley events.
The Buckeyes will be back in action at home this weekend. OSU will swim two meets, Friday against West Virginia at 6 p.m. and Saturday the Buckeyes will battle Big Ten rivals Iowa and Purdue at 10 a.m. in Larkins Hall.
