Women’s Tennis to Compete in ITA Midwest Regional Main Draw – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Six Ohio State women’s tennis players will compete in the main draw of the ITA Midwest Regional at The Racquet Club of Columbus Friday through Monday. The 64-player singles main draw begins at 9 a.m. tomorrow, while the doubles draw will start at 6 p.m.%^$
%^$ No. 50-ranked Kristy Dascoli (Jr., Bradenton, Fla.) enters the singles main draw as the third seed of the tournament. Dascoli and doubles partner Briana Harris (Jr., Bradenton, Fla.), ranked 17th in the country, are seeded second in the doubles main draw.%^$
%^$ Harris and Michelle Matko (So., Aurora, Ill.) were placed in the main draw at the start of competition, while teammates Monica Rincon (So., Lapeer, Mich.) and Sadhaf Pervez (Fr., Warren, N.J.) each won three matches in qualifying to advance to the main draw. Rincon and doubles partner Claudia Castro (So., Dublin, Ohio) won three matches in the qualifying round to advance to the main draw.%^$
