Women’s Swimming and Diving Defeats Cleveland State – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team defeated Cleveland State, 143-78 at the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center. The Buckeyes record now stands, 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the Big Ten.
OSU women divers captured the first, second, and third places in both the one and three-meter diving events. Holly Underwood (So., Conroe, Texas) took first in the three-meter diving event. This is Underwood’s fifth consecutive first place in a diving event this season.
The Buckeyes took a first place in every event but one. Swimmers Kristin Sander (So., Cincinnati, Ohio) and Heidi Hazen (Sr., Mentor, Ohio) were both double winners. Sander took a first in the 1000 freestyle (10:38.23) and in the 100 freestyle (:54.21). Hazen captured first in the 100 butterfly (:57.79) and 200 freestyle (1:57.15).
The Buckeyes will begin their winter training in Puerto Rico on Dec. 9.
