Women’s Swimming and Diving Defeated by Michigan and Clemson – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team lost to Big Ten rival Michigan and Clemson in a tri-meet, hosted in Ann Arbor, Mich. OSU fell to Michigan, 102-135, and Clemson, 104-138. Michigan defeated Clemson 136.5-103.5, to win the meet with 371.5 overall points.
OSU’s divers captured the first, second and third places in the three-meter diving event. Holly Underwood (So., Conroe, Texas) took first with 299.10 points. Senior Carrie Ziebarth (Auburn, Wash.) placed third in the one-meter event with 254.30 points and 277.55 points earned her a third place finish in the three-meter event.
Kristin Sendrowski (So., Garden City, NY) captured first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:05.74 and second in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:28.14. Heidi Hazen (Sr., Mentor, Ohio) took third place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.26.
The Buckeyes host the Cleveland State Vikes in the last coed competition before the millennium, Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. in the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center.
