Women’s Swimming and Diving Falls To Purdue and Iowa – Ohio State Buckeyes

The Ohio State women’s swimming and diving team lost to Big Ten rivals Purdue and Iowa in a tri-meet at OSU’s Mike Peppe Aquatic Center.
OSU’s divers captured the first, second and third places in both the one and three-meter diving events. Holly Underwood (So., Conroe, Texas) took first in the one-meter event with 266.95 points and 302.25 points gave Melanie Johnson (So., Boca Raton, Fla.) first in the three-meter competion.
Heidi Hazen (Sr., Mentor, Ohio) took second place in the 100- yard butterfly with a time of 57.08 and Kristin Sendrowski (So., Garden City, New York) captured second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:05.96.
OSU fell to Iowa, 100-199, and Purdue, 95-204. Purdue defeated Iowa, 163-136. Purdue had 367 points overall to win the meet.
The Buckeyes travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to face Michigan and Clemson in a tri-meet Friday, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m.
