COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s women’s tennis player Kristy Dascoli (Jr., Bradenton, Fla.), ranked No. 50 in the country, lost in the first round of qualifying at the ITA Riviera Women’s All-American Championships in Los Angeles on Tuesday. %^$
Dascoli was defeated by Oregon’a Alina Wygonowska in three sets (7-5, 3-6, 6-2). In the first round of consolation matches Dascoli lost to Carolijn Van Rossum of William and Mary, the fourth seed of the draw, in three sets (6-2, 6-7 (1), 6-1).%^$
%^$ The seventh-ranked doubles team of Dascoli and Briana Harris (Jr., Bradenton, Fla.) will compete in the first round of the main draw at the All-American Championships Thursday. %^$
