ANNECY, France – Ian Connor (Fr., Lexington, Ohio) a member of the Ohio State Track and Field team, has advanced to the steeple chase finals at the World Junior Track and Field Championships.
Connor placed second in his heat with a time of 8:47:34, just seven seconds behind first place finisher, Abraham Cherono of Kenya. The World Junior Championship is held every other year and participating athletes must be under 20 years of age to compete. The finals will be held Saturday evening in France.
