Kristy Dascoli Advances in NCAA Tennis Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Ohio State freshman phenom, Kristy Dascoli (Bradenton, Fla.) defeated Ivy Wang from Harvard in straight sets during the opening round of play at the NCAA Singles Championships. Dascoli will battle Julie Scott from Stanford, a No. 9-16 seed, in the second round at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. Dascoli is the first ever Ohio State womens tennis player to qualify for the NCAA Singles Championships. With her win in the first round of the tournament Dascoli improves her record to 25-9 overall and has won 21 of her last 24 matches.
