Track action at Bearcat Classic – Ohio State Buckeyes

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Ohio State sent 10 athletes to compete in the Bearcat Classic today in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mark Kovitya (So., Lancaster, Ohio) landed in first place in the pole vault (160?). David Gonzalez (So., Bolingbrook, Ill.) took third place in the 5,000 (14:45.40), while teammate Jason Addington (Jr., Zoarville, Ohio) finished second in the steeplechase (9:16.60).
Cathy Carlin (So., Buckeye Lake, Ohio) placed fifth in the high jump with a height of 54? to represent the womens squad.
Next week the Buckeyes will host the 14th Jesse Owens Track Classic in Ohio Stadium Sunday, May 3.
