Track Squad Competes at Mt. SAC Invitational – Ohio State Buckeyes

%^$WALNUT, Calif. – The Ohio State track and field program sent eight student-athletes to represent the Buckeyes at the Mt. SAC Invitational in Walnut, Calif. There was no team scoring. Newcomer Donica Merriman (Fr., Trotwood, Ohio) captured first place in the 100 hurdles (13.61), while veteran Sekou Smith (Sr., Chicago, Ill.) snagged first place in the 400 hurdles (51.43).
%^$Andrew Pierce (Fr., Yellow Springs, Ohio) took second place in the 400 (46.87). OSU’s 400 specialists, Shanda McJunkins (Sr., Cleveland Heights, Ohio) and Cathy Rejouis (Jr., Calgary, Can.), both finished in fourth place in their respective heats. Dominque Calloway (So., Aurora, Colo.) placed seventh in the 100 hurdles (13.27) and the 4 x 100 relay team of Merriman, Rejouis, McJunkins and Calloway snatched fourth place (44.89).%^$
