Men’s Golf leads Kepler Intercollegiate after two rounds – Ohio State Buckeyes

Columbus, Ohio. – The Ohio State men’s golf team got off to an excellent start at the 29th annual Kepler Intercollegiate on Saturday. The Buckeyes lead the field of 16 teams with an 11 under par-565, their nearest competitor 23 strokes behind.
Ohio State made good use of its home field advantage with four individual golfers in the top five. Craig Matthew (Sr., Point Claire, Quebec) leads all golfers going into tomorrows third round of play with a five under par-139. Matthew strung together two solid rounds of sub-par golf, scoring a 70 in the first round and 69 in the second. Ryan Armour (Sr., Silver Lake, Ohio) is in a two-way tie for second place two strokes behind Matthew. Armour also shot the lowest round of the day with a 68. Jeff Brown (Sr., Columbus, Ohio) and Mike Austin follow closely behind in fourth and fifth places, respectively.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with tee times scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
