Women’s track takes second place, men seventh at Brutus Hamilton Invitational – Ohio State Buckeyes

Berkeley, Calif. – The Ohio State track and field teams competed today in the Brutus Hamilton Memorial Invitational at Edwards Stadium in Berkeley, Calif. The women’s squad snagged a second-place team finish with 97 points, behind Oregon (132). The men’s squad finished in seventh place with 41 points, while California captured the team championship with 130 points.
All-American Dominque Calloway (So., Aurora, Colo.) led the Buckeyes capturing the individual title in both the 200 (23.93) and 100 hurdles (13.52). Tamieka Porter (triple jump, Sr., Escondido, Calif.), Cathy Rejouis (400, Jr., Calgary, Can.) and the 4 x 400 relay team took first-place finishes for OSU.
Andrew Pierce (Fr., Yellow Springs, Ohio) was the individual champion in the 400 (47.06) and Sekou Smith (Sr., Chicago, Ill.) placed first in the 400 hurdles (51.75). Other leading Buckeyes included Winston Tidwell (Sr., Topeka, Kan.) in the 800 and the 4 x 400 relay team.
