Women’s Lacrosse beaten by Virginia Tech – Ohio State Buckeyes

Blacksburg, Va. – The Ohio State women’s lacrosse team came up short by a score of 10-8 to the Virginia Tech Hokies Saturday afternoon at Tech Park.
The Hokies jumped out to an early lead in the first half, but the Buckeyes wouldn’t let up. Ohio State and the Hokies were exchanging goals throughout the first half. At the half the Buckeyes trailed by one, 5-4. Celeste Cianfrani (Fr., Telford, Pa.) led the Buckeyes for the second straight game, scoring three goals. Miranda James (Sr., BelAir, Md.) helped the Buckeyes effort tallying two goals. The Hokies however, were too strong for the Buckeyes. Virginia Tech went on a 6-3 second half run to put Ohio State away. The Hokies are on a current five game winning streak, setting a school record for most consecutive wins.
Ohio State will play it’s last two home games of the season against Davidson on April 14 and Penn State on April 18.
