Men’s Golf Captures Second Place at the Furman Invitational – Ohio State Buckeyes

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Ohio State men’s golf team captured its second straight second place finish and improved the teams’ record to 59-25 at the Furman Invitational on Friday through Sunday. Ryan Armour (Sr., Silver Lake, Ohio) was the tournaments top finisher making him the individual medalist. Armour’s first place performance, a seven under par-209, was the highest individual finish by a Buckeye golfer this season.
The other three scoring Buckeyes also individually finished within the top 29 golfers. Jeff Brown (Sr.,Columbus, Ohio) tied for 10th while Mike Austin (Fr., Burton, Mich.), Albert Hromulak (Jr., Johnstown, Pa.) and Craig Matthew (Sr., Point Claire, Quebec) finished 20th, 22nd and 29th respectively. The Buckeyes stellar performance (873 for a nine over par) was not enough to top tournament champion Virginia Commonwealth.
