Men’s Gymnasts Compete in Big Ten Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

ANN ARBOR, Mich.-Penn State’s Mike Dutka continued his dominance at the Big Ten Championships Saturday night by winning three individual championships to go along with his all-around championship that he won Friday night in the team competition. Dutka last years Big Ten Freshman of the Year, was champion on the pommel horse (9.837), floor exercise (9.837), and vault (9.90).
Ohio State’s Peter Landry (Jr., Lewiston, Maine) took second place on the still rings with a score of 9.687. Landry also tied for first place on the parallel bars with a score of 9.725. The Buckeye’s Doug Stibel (Jr., Canton, Mich.) placed second on the horizontal bar with a score of 9.8.
Three Buckeye’s were named to the All-Big Ten Conference Team. Peter Landry ( Jr., Lewiston, Maine), Doug Stibel (Jr., Canton, Mich.) and Mike Morgan (Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio).
