Men’s Gymnastics Finishes Third at Big Ten Championships – Ohio State Buckeyes

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Iowa won the Big Ten men’s gymnastics championship Friday night with a team score of 230.535, which knocked off the two-time defending Big Ten Champions Ohio State Buckeyes who placed third with a score of 229.600 behind Penn State and Iowa. %^$
The Hawkeyes won their first Big Ten Championship since 1986. They were lead by Todd Strada who placed third in the all-around competition with a score of 57.65. Penn State’s Mike Dutka won the all-around championship with a score of 58.350. Travis Romagnoli from the University of Illinois placed second scoring 58.275. %^$
The Big Ten Championships continue tomorrow night. The individual event champions will be determined on all six events. The competition starts at 7 p.m. %^$%^$
