Disappointing Weekend for Men’s Track – Ohio State Buckeyes

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Ohio State men’s track and field team turned in a disappointing weekend as they finished in 10th place at the Big Ten Championships. Minnesota won the team competition with 108 points and two individual titles. David Gonzalez (So., Bolingbrook, Ill.) led the Buckeyes with a third place finish in the 3,000 (8:20.24) and a fifth place finish in the 5,000 (14:23.58), while teammate Andrew Pierce (Fr., Yellow Springs, Ohio) took fourth place in the 400 (47.78). Sekou Smith (Sr., Chicago, Ill.) landed in seventh place in the triple jump (48’3-1/2?) and the distance medley relay team placed ninth (10:01.64).
