Women’s Volleyball Returns to National Rankings – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team returned to the USA TODAY/AVCA Coaches Top 25 Poll as the 24th ranked team in the country in the season ending poll. The Buckeyes, 17-14 overall, had fallen out of the top 25 in the last six weekly votes. In three of those six week OSU received votes and was ranked 34th in the previous Dec. 1 voting.
The Buckeyes, who won three of its last four matches, was selected for the 10th year to play in the NCAA Championships. OSU upset No. 22 Texas Tech 3-2 in first round action before losing to No. 4 Florida 3-1 , a national semifinalist in the second round. The top 25 finish marks the 10th consecutive season that Ohio State has finished the season ranked in the USA TODAY/AVCA Poll.
Ohio State returns the entire 1998 squad next year including all-Big Ten selection Rosie Snow (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.).
