Hazen Named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Junior Heidi Hazen ( Mentor, Ohio) was named the Big Ten Swimmer of the week after her performance against Cleveland State. Hazen helped the Buckeyes beat Cleveland State by 55 points (75-20) winning the 100 butterfly with a time of :57.72. She also contributed on the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays that both earned first place finishes.
“This is great for our team,” swimming head coach Neil Harper said. “The girls are working hard this season, and the hard work is showing in our record and the individual awards like this. “We are very proud of Heidi and she will use this as motivation for the rest of the season.”
The Buckeyes improved their record to 4-1 for the season. OSU will travel to Oxford, Ohio this weekend to compete in the Miami Invitational.
