COLUMBUS, Ohio-The Ohio State Buckeyes opened up their season on Friday, November 6 with a win at Ohio University. The Buckeyes scored 143 points to the Bobcats’ 92, and were led by Brian Malich (So., Mason, Ohio). Malich was a winner in the 50 and 100 Free, while Kansas Swimmer of the Year, Travis Carver (Fr., Overland Park, Kan.), won both the 200 and 500 Free. All-America Mike McIntyre (Jr., Orlando, Fla.) won the 1-meter diving competition. The Buckeyes are next in action on Saturday, November 14 when they travel to Bowling Green for an 11:30 meet.
