Volleyball Handle the Hawkeyes 3-0 – Ohio State Buckeyes

Iowa City, Iowa – Ohio State (12-10 overall, 5-8 Big Ten), behind a match high 15 kills by Anglee Abbring and 13 by Rosie Snow, defeated the Hawkeyes of Iowa in three straight games Friday night in Iowa City. The 15-8, 15-9, 15-8 Buckeye win completed two-match sweep of the Hawkeyes this season and was OSU’s 22nd consecutive win over Iowa. Shelley Sills recorded a match-high eight assist blocks while Abbring had six assist blocks and Snow recorded a match-high 11 digs.
Julie Williams had a team high 14 kills for the Hawkeyes with Katie Panhorst adding eight. She also had a team high seven digs while Katie O’Brien had a team high four blocks.
The Buckeyes hit .218 for the match to .042 for the Hawkeyes. OSU outblocked Iowa 11 to four, outdug the Hawkeyes 39 to 27, while Iowa edged the Buckeyes in ace serves three to two.
The Buckeyes now travel to Madison, Wisconsin to face the eighth-ranked Badgers Saturday night.
