COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 1998 soccer season is coming to a close as the Ohio State mens soccer team (7-7-3) travels to play its last match Sunday against No. 5 Virginia (12-2) at Klockner Stadium in Charlottesville.
%^$OSU VS. VIRGINIA
%^$This match marks only the second meeting against UVA in school history. The teams first meet in 1984, when the Buckeyes lost 4-1 to the Wahoos.
%^$SCOUTING THE WAHOOS
%^$The University of Virginia (1997 ACC Champion) has spent nearly all season at the No. 5 spot in the Soccer Times, Soccer America, and NSCAA polls. UVA is coming off a 3-2 victory over No. 20 Virginia Commonwealth. The Cavaliers are on a three-game winning streak, claiming their last three games against No. 3 Duke 3-2, Fairleigh Dickinson in 2-1 overtime and Virginia Commonwealth 3-2. Sophomore forward, Chris Albright leads UVA in scoring with 18 goals and 2 assists. Against Virginia Commonwealth, Albright netted two goals for the second consecutive time this season. He was named to the Soccer America and Soccer News National All-Freshman teams in his first season at UVA. All American, Matt Chulis is to be among the best defensive players in the nation and is a candidate for National Player of the Year honors. Goalkeeping for the Cavaliers has been split between Brock Yetso and Mike Forensich. Yetso has seen more time, recording four of the seven shutouts this season. His GAA is 0.95. Forensich has recorded a GAA of 0.56 and three shutouts.
%^$BIG TEN SEASON COMES TO AN END
%^$The Big Ten standings are in, and the Buckeyes (3-2) finished third behind Indiana (5-0) and Penn State (4-1). This gives OSU the third seed in the conference tournament which will be held Nov. 13-15 at Evanston, Ill.
%^$TOURNAMENT TICKET INFORMATION
%^$All seating for the Big Ten Tournament is general admission. Adults are $5 per session and Students are $3. Tickets will be available at the gate throughout the championship. To purchase in advance, call the Northwestern athletic ticket office at 847 491-CATS.
%^$PARKING INFORMATION
%^$Parking at Lakeside Field will be by permit only. Spectators can purchase parking daily for $3 or an all-session parking pass for $5. The passes will be sold at the entrance to the parking lot.

%^$Lakeside Field was built in 1997 at a cost of $3.5 million, and the result is one of the premier venues for collegiate mens soccer in the United States. Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, with the world famous Chicago Skyline serving as a panoramic backdrop, the complex includes a natural grass playing field, permanent seating for approximately 300 fans and a new sound system
