COLUMBUS, Ohio – Martin Lallemand, a junior outside hitter for Ohio State men’s volleyball, began the new year and new season by earning Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) Defensive Player of the Week honors. He played a key role in the Buckeyes’ season opener victory over North Greenville on Jan. 4.
Lallemand dug eight balls and got in on three block assists. Both of those defensive metrics were team highs. His efforts aided Ohio State in limiting NGU to a .268 team hitting efficiency, including a .160 clip in the clinching third frame.
The Scarlet & Gray are back at it again tonight, playing host to Urbana University at 7 p.m. ET.
