COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State was picked to finish in the No. 3 position by Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association coaches Tuesday while a pair of Buckeyes made the preseason All-MIVA squad.
Ohio State was picked to finish behind preseason favorite Loyola Chicago and No. 2 Lewis University.
Individually, 2021 MIVA Newcomer of the Year and first team All-MIVA Sotiris Siapanis, along with graduate Martin Lallemand, both outside hitters, made the 2022 Preseason All-MIVA squad.
Lallemand was a 2020 All-MIVA First Team selection in 2020 and a second teamer last season. He is a four-time MIVA Academic All-Conference and OSU Scholar Athlete selection (2018-21).
Siapanis, a sophomore in 2022, was a 2021 Honorable Mention All-American (NVA/AVCA), led all freshmen and ranked second in the MIVA in hitting percentage (.356) after recording 206 kills in 50 sets a year ago.
