Former baseball player and manager Dick Finn passed away earlier this week. Finn was a four-year letterwinner and captain of the 1955 Big Ten Championship team. He later rejoined the program as an assistant coach in 1969 and then was the head coach from 1975 to 1987.

One of Finn’s former players, Sonny Fulks (1971-74), shared his thoughts on his former coach.

“I knew him for four developmental years of my life.  And while they weren’t all good years, I learned something from former OSU baseball coach Dick Finn that’s universal about school, sports, business…and life.” — Sonny Fulks
