Baseball Announces 2023 Schedule

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball program has announced its schedule for the 2023 season, which includes 26 regular season home games at Bill Davis Stadium.

The Buckeyes open the season in Florida with four games against UCONN Feb. 17-20. The teams will open play in Venice at Cool Today Park, play two games at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota and then play their final game at Centennial Park in Port Charlotte.

Ohio State heads to Phoenix, Ariz. Feb. 23-26. The Buckeyes will take on Grand Canyon on Feb. 23 and 25 and will play against Gonzaga on Feb. 24 and 26.

From March 3-5, the Buckeyes will compete in the Frisco College Baseball Classic in Frisco, Texas. The tournament will be held at Rider Field, which is the home of the Texas Rangers’ Double-A affiliate, the Frisco RoughRiders. The Bucks open with Mississippi State on March 3, before taking on Cal on March 4 and Oklahoma on March 5.

Ohio State plays a three-game series at Cal State – Bakersfield and then heads to Huntington, W.V. to play two games against Marshall March 14-15.

The Buckeyes open their home schedule at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium with three games against in-state opponent Dayton March 17-19. OSU then hosts Wright State for a single game on March 21 and Toledo for one game on March 22.

Ohio State opens Big Ten play at Indiana March 24-26, before returning home for a single non-conference game against the Xavier Musketeers on March 28.

The Buckeyes host their first home conference series March 31-April 2 when they welcome the Minnesota Golden Gophers to Columbus for three games.

Ohio State resumes non-conference play when it hosts Kent State for a single game on April 4, The Buckeyes then head back on the road for a three-game series at Michigan State April 7-9.

The Buckeyes return to Bill Davis Stadium for a five-game homestand, hosting Akron on April 11, Bowling Green on April 12, and Maryland April 14-16.

OSU plays a single game at Miami (OH) on April 18 and then heads to Penn State for three games April 21-23. The Buckeyes’ five-game road swing is capped by a game at Kent State on April 25.

The Buckeyes host Illinois April 28-30 and play one game at Wright State on May 2 before heading to Iowa for three games against the Hawkeyes May 5-7.

Ohio State closes out the regular season with eight straight home games, hosting UCF on May 9, Central Michigan on May 10, UNC – Greensboro May 12-14 and TTUN May 18-20.

The Big Ten Championships will be held May 24-28 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb.

The NCAA Tournament gets underway in June, with NCAA Regionals June 2-5, Super Regionals June 9-12 and the College World Series June 16-26 in Omaha, Neb.
