Women’s Lacrosse Has Five Student-Athletes Honored As All-Americans – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s lacrosse student-athlete Regina Oliver (So., Pottstown, Pa.) has been named to the first team of the Warrior/Inside Lacrosse All-American squad. Additionally, Erin Forquer (So., Shaker Heights, Ohio) and Shannon Wilson (Sr., Sherkston, Ontario) were named to the second team and Tracey Bounds (Sr., Ellicott City, Md.) and Kimberly Lowe (Sr., Philadelphia, Pa.) to the third team.
Additionally, the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association and US Lacrosse have announced their All-American squads for 2003. Named to the second team were Oliver and Wilson with Lowe honored as a third team selection.
The 2003 Ohio State women’s lacrosse season proved to be the best in the eight-year history of the program. The Buckeyes won a school record 14 games (14-4 overall), captured the American Lacrosse Conference championship (5-1 record), swept the major ALC postseason awards and received its second consecutive at-large bid to the NCAA Championship, advancing to the quarterfinals with an upset of fourth-seeded Duke.
