2014 (Junior Season): ALC Goalie of the Year … First Team All-ALC … IWLCA Second Team All-American, becoming the first Buckeye goalie to earn first or second team All-America honors … IWLCA First Team All-Region … started all 20 games in goal for the Buckeyes, collecting a 13-7 mark … first in the conference in save percentage (.492), saves (154) and second in goals-against average (8.06) and third in saves per game (7.53) … her 154 saves ranks fifth all-time on Ohio State[apos]s single-season list … named ALC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career March 11 after leading the Buckeyes to wins over Louisville (March 4) and Northwestern (March 9) … claimed a season-best 13 saves in the win over the Wildcats, including nine stops in the second half and three in overtime … also collected 10 saves in wins over Hofstra (March 15) and Oregon (March 26) … notched a .483 save percentage in 21 shots faced at Vanderbilt (April 6) … picked up eight stops in win vs. No. 8 Penn State (April 13) … posted a season-best .488 save percentage, posting 11 saves against 29 shots faced, while tying her career high with five groundballs in the win over No. 9 Notre Dame (April 15) to be named ALC Defensive Player of the Week … posted 12 stops last time out in loss vs. Hopkins, facing 31 shots … tallied 14 saves in two ALC Tournament games last weekend in Evanston … OSU scholar-athlete.
2013 (Sophomore Season): Started in all 18 games, finishing 12 complete games…posted an 11.05 goals-against average and a .408 save percentage…totaled 126 saves…made double digit saves in four games, including a season-high of 13 saves vs. Stanford (3/2/13) and vs. High Point (4/21/13)… earned ALC Second Team honors…OSU scholar-athlete and Academic All-Big Ten.
2012 (Freshman Season): Played in 16 games, making 15 starts and finishing six complete games … posted a 9.21 goals-against average, third among ALC goalies, and a .494 save percentage … made double-digit saves on six occasions, including a season-high 16 in overtime contest against Northwestern (3/31/12) in Gillette Stadium … member of the ALC All-Tournament Team after making 10 stops vs. Vanderbilt (5/3/12) in the quarterfinals and 15 against Florida (5/4/12) in the semifinals, while holding the Gators to a season-low five goals … ALC and womenslax.com Rookie of the Week (2/13/12) … OSU scholar-athlete.
Shore Regional: Played soccer, basketball and lacrosse … during her senior year, played 21 games in goal with 175 saves and a .630 save percentage, earning first team all-shore, first team all-division and all-state honorable mention while helping the team to the conference championship … in total, captured three conference regular-season and tournament championships during her career and two state sectional titles with Shore Regional.
Personal: Parents are David and Nancy DeScenza … has three siblings, Danny, Devin and Nikki … has a cousin, Kim Imbesi, was a three-year starter on the Duke women[apos]s lacrosse team (2007-09) and another, Mary DeScenza Mohler, who swam at Georgia and has participated in two Olympic trials.
