2014 (Sophomore): Played in all 19 matches, starting two … scored three goals while assisting on another … tallied the game-winner in the opener against Duke … assisted on Nikki Walts’ goal against George Mason … scored the Buckeyes’ third goal against Northwestern … played a season-high 54 minutes at Minnesota while scoring the Buckeyes lone goal in the 1-1 draw … Academic All-Big Ten and an OSU Scholar-Athlete.
2013 (Freshman): Played in 20 contests, making a pair of starts … named to Big Ten All-Freshman team … scored game-winner in 2-0 win over Pittsburgh … tallied the Buckeyes’ third goal in 3-1 win against Indiana … tallied an assist at Penn State and scored a goal against Northwestern … played season-high 77 minutes at Kentucky in NCAA first round … an OSU Scholar-Athlete.
’94 CASL Chelse Ladies: Degler played nine years for CASL Chelsea Ladies coached by Damon Nahas … Degler and the ’94 Chelsea Ladies were two-time ECNL National Champions, three-time NC State Champions, two time Disney Showcase champions, U-14 Region III champions and national finalists, three-time Region III premier league eastern champions and U-14 Super Y National Champions.
Green Hope H.S.: Degler played three years for the Green Hope Falcons, leading them to a 73-3-1 record … she captained the team her senior year and led them to an undefeated 28-0 record and the school’s first state championship … ended her career as the all-time leading goal-scorer in school history with 88 goals and 35 assists … her 35 goals as a junior and 38 goals as a senior were tops in the state … was named a High School All-American and awarded Player of the Year by the North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association her senior year as well as earning All-State honors her junior and senior year and all-conference and and all-region her sophomore year.
Personal: The daughter of Bob and Connie Degler … enjoys traveling, golf, shopping and hanging out with friends and family … has a younger brother, Jake.
