- Competed with the Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA) International for the 2018 USA Volleyball High Performance Championship Tournament
- SCVA won its first USAV High Performance national title in ’18, lifted by Howard’s match-winning ace to clinch a five-set semifinals victory

- Brother, Spencer, is a forward on the Northwestern University men’s soccer program and is a junior for the 2019 season
- Uncle, Carl Borack, competed in the 1972 Olympics (Munich) as a fencer and was inducted into the USA Fencing Hall of Fame in 2012
