2017 (Senior)
Scored an 84.050 in the all-around to place ninth at the NCAA Championships to help Ohio State earn runner-up honors … garnered silver in the all-around at the Big Ten Championships with a score of 83.300 to assist Ohio State in winning back-to-back conference titles … Big Ten champion on the high bar at Big Ten individual finals with a 14.375 … won four all-around titles over the span of the season at the Windy City Invitational (83.400), against Michigan (85.250), at Oklahoma (season-best 85.300) and at Illinois (80.900) … collected two event titles on the high bar against Michigan (14.850) and at the Arnold Challenge (14.800) … won additional event titles at Penn State (parallel bars/season-high 14.600) and against UIC (14.050) … Martin’s nine event titles paced the Buckeyes for the season … earned a trio of silver finishes on the high bar at Oklahoma (14.500), at Illinois (14.250) and the NCAA Qualifier (14.450) … finished third on the pommel horse at four different meets: Windy City Invitational (13.800), against Michigan (14.400), at Oklahoma (season-high 14.800) and at Illinois (14.000) … earned bronze on the floor at the Windy City Invitational with a season-best score of 14.300 … registered a pair of bronzes on the parallel bars against Michigan (14.350) and at Oklahoma (14.300) … scored routines of 14.250 and 13.800 on the high bar at the Windy City Invitational and against UIC to place third and fourth, respectively … placed sixth on the floor against Michigan (13.600) and at Oklahoma (13.700) … saved his best for last and scored a season-best readout of 14.400 on the vault at the NCAA Championships … ended up in fourth place on the pommel at Penn State with a score of 14.200 … scored readouts of 13.200 and 14.200 to place fifth on the pommel horse against UIC and at Big Ten Championships … finished in eighth on the pommel horse at the Big Ten individual finals with a routine of 13.725.
2016 (Junior)
Finished fourth on pommel horse in a dual meet against Michigan (Jan. 30); suffered season-ending injury prior to start of the meet … tied for sixth on pommel horse and vault and competed on floor, parallel bars and high bar at the Cal/Stanford tri meet (Jan. 24) … competed on pommel horse and high bar at the Windy City Invitational (Jan. 17) … finished 14th in the all-around at the 2015 U.S. National Qualifier.
2015 (Redshirt)
Earned runner-up honors on pommel horse against Penn State (Feb. 6); also featured on floor exercise, rings and high bar … tied for third on high bar against Oklahoma and Iowa (Feb. 1); also competed on pommel and floor … finished in a tie for 14th at the P&G championships, with a high placement of ninth on high bar … competed at the 2014 U.S. National Qualifier.
2013-14 (Sophomore)
Two-event All-American for the Buckeyes; earned runner-up honors on vault and fifth place in the all-around at the NCAA championships … claimed a Big Ten championship on vault; also competed in the all-around (third), high bar (third) and floor exercise (eighth) … claimed three event titles (all-around, vault and high bar) in Ohio State’s tri-meet victory over No. 1 Oklahoma and Temple; scored a career-best 89.450 in the all-around competition and a career-best 15.500 on vault, while placing second on both floor exercise (career-high 15.300) and pommel horse … placed eighth in the all-around at the Winter Cup Challenge, finishing in the Top 10 on high bar (fifth), parallel bars (eighth) and floor exercise (ninth) … named CGA and Big Ten Gymnast of the Week with two-event titles and five Top 5 finishes in a dual-meet win over No. 8 California; posted a personal-best score of 15.800 to win the high bar, an 89.000 to capture the all-around title, and scored a career-best 15.150 to finish second on rings … earned Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honors with two-event titles at No. 2 Michigan; posted a career-high 15.600 to win the pommel horse, a 15.300 to tie on vault, and also placed second on high bar … CGA All-America Scholar Athlete … Academic All-Big Ten selection … Ohio State Scholar Athlete.
2013 (Freshman)
Competed in four meets for the Buckeyes before suffering season-ending injury … placed first on high bar and second on pommel horse at the Windy City Invitational (Jan. 19) with a 15.25 and 15.15, respectively … scored a team-best 14.90 on rings and a team-best 14.75 on parallel bars at the Metroplex Challenge Jan. 25 … placed second on vault (15.05) and first on high bar with a program record score of 15.50 at Penn State Feb. 2 … also scored an 88.00 to place second in the all-around … earned a fourth-place finish on pommel horse with a 14.65 and a first-place finish on parallel bars with a 14.85 against UIC March 9 … earned Ohio State Scholar-Athlete honors.
