2011-12 (Freshman Season): Started off his Buckeye career by competing in all five fall tournaments for Ohio State, compiling a stroke average of 74.4 over 13 rounds … finishing T-7th in his first college event at the Marshall Invitational (Sept. 12-13) … fired rounds of 71-68-68–207 and helped the Buckeyes to their second-consecutive team victory at the event … continued his strong play with a T-25th finish at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational with a total of 220 … also finished T-12th at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational with rounds of 72-72-75–219 … saw action in all seven events during the spring season… finished T-20th at the FAU Spring Break Championship with a total of 216… at the Wildcat Invitational he finished T-6th with a three-round total of 225… in his first Big Ten Championship, he finished T-35th with a 72-hole total of 310 … finished the season by placing T-38th at the NCAA Central Regional in Ann Arbor, shooting 76-74-70–220 … completed his first year as a Buckeye with a 74.69 stroke average … an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete.
Prior to Ohio State: Attended Canfield High School after two years at Warren JFK High School …named team MVP, all-league and all-district all four seasons … served as team captain for the past three years … earned All-Ohio honors as a junior and senior after leading Canfield to back-to-back All American Conference titles … qualified for the state tournament all four seasons … recognized as the Youngstown Vindicator[apos]s Golf Performer of the Year three consecutive years … set the Steel Valley all-time record for nine-hole average at 34.0 in conference matches … holds two nine-hole course records with a 32 at Copeland Hills and Kensington Golf Clubs … won the Callaway PGA Junior Series event on Purdue[apos]s Kampen Course as well as the Hudson Invitational in summer play.
